The Cottages
Beautifully rustic holiday cottages, on the edge of Blithfield Reservoir.
All of our cottages vary in size and accommodation, but they have been beautifully converted and furnished, which has led to us being awarded 4 stars by the "Visit Britain"!
They also have private patios overlooking the reservoir, along with communal lawns for ballgames, and a children’s play area. There are a range of activities for rainy days, such as a Games Room and flat screen TV's in each room.
The cottages are only suitable for Easy Walking Access as they all have some steps and some have narrow passages, this is due to the restrictions of the original buildings.
Our Cottages
Book to stay with us in one of our converted cottages for a wonderfully rural break in the heart of Staffordshire. We are surrounded by great things to do, suited to any taste. Whether that's a thrill-seeking day at Alton Towers, splashing around at Waterworld, or a relaxing day of fishing on the Blithfield Reservoir, there's something to nearby suit everyone.
We also have a wide range of wonderful local pubs and restaurants to choose from. There really is something for everyone in this picturesque area.

Heron Cottage
A beautiful, spacious, 5-bedroom detached cottage with its own private fenced garden. This property boasts an open-plan farmhouse style kitchen / dining area with beamed and vaulted ceilings.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas hob and electric oven, Fridge/Freezer, Washer/Dryer, Microwave, and Dishwasher.
The Cottage can hold a dog with prior arrangement.
French doors open onto the lakeside terrace from the living area which has lovely oak beams, wooden floors and beautiful soft furnishings along with a TV for those lazy mornings.
The double bedroom has panoramic views over the stunning reservoir.
There are 5 bedrooms:-
1 Double Bedroom with 5ft bed and en-suite shower room.
2 Double bedrooms with 4ft 6" bed.
2 Twin bedrooms which share an en-suite shower room.

Kingfisher Cottage
Situated next to Heron Cottage, and at the side of a pretty courtyard, this property has a stunning living / dining area with a mass of original oak beams.
The farmhouse style kitchen provides you with everything that you could need, including a microwave, electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer.
The Cottage can hold a dog with prior arrangement.
The living area is equipped with TV, DVD and CD player for those rainy days indoors. The French windows open onto a large lakeside patio.

"Good holiday let for big groups as you can vary number of adjoining cottages depending on number of people. The kitchen/lounge/diners are in Heron and Kingfisher are both large enough to accommodate numbers from more than one cottage. Good central location easily accessible from most of England."

Mallard Cottage
A lovely cottage with excellent views of the beautiful lake from both the sitting room, kitchen and both bedrooms. It is situated central to the gorgeous courtyard. The open plan sitting and dining room is beautifully fitted and tastefully decorated.
It is equipped with a TV, DVD player and a CD player. The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer.

Grebe Cottage
This is a beautiful, romantic cottage, that enjoys stunning lakeside views from both the living area and the bedroom. The open plan living area has a lovely fitted kitchen with dishwasher, refrigerator (with ice box only), microwave, electric oven and a gas hob. With french doors opening onto the private patio, this is the perfect cottage for a romantic getaway.
The Cottage can hold a dog with prior arrangement.
The pretty double bedroom has a draped four posted bed. The bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath with shower. It has a TV, DVD and CD Player.
One bedroom, Sleeps 2
Includes private patio over looking stunning lake, with charcoal BBQ.

Wigeon Cottage
Wigeon Cottage has been named because the French windows lead out onto the private terrace which directly overlooks the feeding ground of the Wigeon duck. You will have an excellent view of the sailing.
It has a lovely sitting / dining area and beautiful farmhouse kitchen including refrigerator and dishwasher.
The Cottage can hold a dog with prior arrangement.
This property can also be linked to Swallow Cottage by a lockable connecting door – an ideal option for the larger group who want to maintain some degree of privacy.

Swallow Cottage
This is a spacious cottage, converted from a former stable block. It has its own private fenced garden and covered patio. The farmhouse style kitchen is beautifully equipped with a dishwasher, electric oven, gas hob, fridge freezer.
The French doors lead onto the garden which has breath-taking views over the water. There is a cloakroom / WC on the ground floor.
The Cottage can hold a dog with prior arrangement.
This property can also be linked to Widgeon Cottage by a lockable connecting door. This has proved popular with guests who wish to stay with family / friends but who also like to have the option of closing the door from time to time!
There are several low beamed doorways upstairs due to the age and character of the building.

"Blithfield Lakeside Barns is one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. We come here a few times a year for the rest and relaxation, in between visiting family and friends in the area. My husband and stepson go fishing in the private pond, and we enjoy the views over the reservoir, which you can pay to go fishing in."
